ELECTION DATABASE DEVELOPMENT AND ANALYSIS; VOTE GOALS, TARGETING

Election Analysis: A basic problem with many campaigns is targeting scarce resources for the most efficient use. Targeting analysis reviews previous election results for several years or races to prioritize your resources for scheduling, fundraising, vote goals or get-out-the-vote efforts.
Election Data: We have been collecting election data for over twenty years and have developed a data system which combines multiple levels of political geography into a archiving and retreival format. There are certainly holes in our collection but we have county-level election results for most states for most races since 1980.

Resources and Tools: The tools which are used in a pc-compatible environment include: Microsoft FoxPro 2.5/2.6 for DOS/Windows; Atlas GIS for Windows; SymScript by Symbiotic Systems; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word; Wordperfect; TIGER Boundary Translator by Micro Map and CAD; Graphics Server by Pinnacle; SPSS for DOS; and, of course, Microsoft DOS/Windows (3.1 and 95).
